Vinette (くさ子 Kusako) is the Gym Leader of Diadem City. She specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. She awards challengers who defeat her the Oak Badge and the TM Giga Drain.

Vinette is the third Gym Leader of the Hora Region. She is a grass-type Pokémon specialist, and hands out the Plasma Badge and a TM containing Giga Drain to victorious trainers. Like many other Gym Leaders, she does other things aside from her Gym duties. Her entire Gym is a garden as also a sort of "Day-Care" for Grass-type Pokémon. Trainers with Grass-types who want to rest their Pokémon or leave them in training leave them with Vinette, who is more than willing to take care of them and level them up. She makes a point of asking if the Trainers want their Pokémon evolved or not, to avoid giving a Trainer an evolved Pokémon when they were not yet ready. As her Gym is also a garden, she takes care of various plants, and has installed self-watering systems that are set to spray a mist from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM every day. She has an interest in the Legendary Pokémon Celebi, but, unlike Lorraine, she does not leave her Gym constantly to go looking for it.

Vinette is a Grass-type Specialist, and, as such, specializes in Grass-type Pokémon. Many of her Pokémon are already evolved, which makes her a difficult Gym Leader to handle.

- Her Sawsbuck is the only member of her team who is a secondary Grass-type user, instead of a primary.
- Despite giving out Giga Drain, none of her Pokémon are known to use it.
